  24.                           Installation and Use

  27. HyperSlide is distributed as a self extracting archive called HYPSLD.EXE. 
  28. Executing this file creates all of the files necessary to run HyperSlide.
  29. HyperSlide consists of five main programs:
  30.  
  31. HYPERPD  - The HyperSlide Project Designer.
  32. HYPERSLD - The Presentation Engine.
  33. HYPERCOM - The HyperSlide Compiler.
  34. HYPERDMP - Presentation dump utility.
  35. HYPEREXE - Utility to make Self Propelled Presentations.

  40. HYPERPD.HLP  - The Presentation Designer help file.

  50. Registration, a program disk containing the latest version of this program,
  51. and a license to distribute Self Propelled Presentations are available from
  52. the address below for a $50 ShareWare fee.

  58. Users of HyperSlide must accept this disclaimer of warranty: "HyperSlide is
  59. supplied as is.  The author disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied,
  60. including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability and of
  61. fitness for any purpose.  The author assumes no liability for damages, direct
  62. or consequential, which may result from the use of HyperSlide."

  64. HyperSlide is a "Shareware program" and is provided at no charge to the user
  65. for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your friends, but please do not
  66. give it away altered or as part of another system.  The essence of "user
  67. supported" software is to provide personal computer users with quality
  68. software without high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  69. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program useful and find
  70. that you are using HyperSlide and continue to use HyperSlide after a 30 day
  71. trial period, you must make a registration payment of $50 to John Intorcio at
  72. the above address.  The $50 registration fee will license one copy for use on
  73. any one computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just like a
  74. book.  An example is that this software may be used by any number of people
  75. and may be freely moved from one computer location to another, so long as
  76. there is no possibility of it being used at one location while it's being used
  77. at another.  Just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the
  78. same time.

  80. Registered and unregistered users of HyperSlide may distribute the HyperSlide
  81. Presentation Engine (HYPERSLD.EXE) with their presentations without restric-
  82. tion provided that no fee is charged for it or any accompanying software. 
  83. Self propelled demonstrations may be distributed ONLY by registered users of
  84. HyperSlide.  It is unlawful to distribute self propelled presentations without
  85. first registering your copy of HyperSlide.  Extended or modified distribution
  86. licenses are available from John Intorcio.

  88. Commercial users of HyperSlide must register and pay for their copies of
  89. HyperSlide within 30 days of first use or their license is withdrawn.  Site-
  90. License arrangements may be made by contacting John Intorcio.

  92. You are encouraged to pass a copy of HyperSlide along to your friends for
  93. evaluation.  Please be sure to distribute the entire package including the
  94. utilities and documentation files.  Also, please encourage them to register
  95. their copy if they find that they can use it.  All registered users will
  96. receive a copy of the latest version of the HyperSlide system.  Upon registra-
  97. tion users will receive a laser printed manual, will become eligible for
  98. telephone support, and will be notified by U.S.  Mail of future updates should
  99. they occur.  Registered users of obsolete versions may upgrade to the current
  100. version of HyperSlide by sending a $5 handling charge to the address above. 
  101. In return they will receive a program disk with the latest version of Hyper-
  102. Slide without the delay screens in the Presentation Designer and the Presenta-
  103. tion Engine.
